Aloha! Set the party mood of your favorite island paradise and charm your guests with its cusine and cultural arts. Set sail on a warm summer's eve celebration.

Set a mood of "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and enjoy the festivities of the Caribbean, Polynesian, Hawaiian and Tahitian cultures.

Tuck a flower behind your ear and let everyone get into the island spirit.

INVITATIONS Send Tropical invitations in a bottle. Put your paper invitation in a plastic bottle and mail in a small box or hand deliver.

ALOHA...

Grab your ukulele,
Don your grass skirt.
Practice your hula,
Then join us for a luau celebration.

On the invitation include who the celebration is for, date, time, and what extras to bring. Guests may bring their swim suits and towels if your celebration will be held at the beach or a pool.

• Attach Hawaiian Leis or shell necklaces to the invitation.

Plan some fun activities.

• Hire a professional and put on a Fire Dancing show
• Limbo Dance

• Welcome your guests with leis made of flowers. • Float flowers/leis in a pool. • Bamboo torches create a wonderful lighting accessory. • Garden torches, tiki or oil burning lamps can be used around the party area. • Baby orchids or parasols may be used at each place setting. • Rattan or wicker chairs create an island look. • Fly flags from the island countries. • Display colorful birds in your trees or on poles. • Use bamboo mats as placemats. • Decorate your tables with table skirts. • Use colored fish nets on your walls. • Strew seashells and coconuts along the center of the food table. • String luau lights in houseplants, bushes, or wherever they may add a festive touch


Foods, drinks and beverages.
Serve delicious appetizers, fresh salads, and finger sandwiches.
Kalua pig roasted in a pit is always featured at a luau. Serve tropical fruits in coconut shells. Other foods: Rice, fish, spiced chicken, spiced pork, bananas, papayas, pineapples, coconut, and macadamia nuts.
