APRIL FOOLS' PARTY
April Fools’ Party. April Fools'Day is celebrated on April 1 of each year by playing lots of tricks and jokes on friends and family. It’s the one day to be silly and have some fun.
INVITATIONS
• Write your party invitations backwards.

• Send out invitations with different party themes. Have guests dress up for that particular theme. Use sports themes, formal themes, or slumber party theme. Your guests will all arrive with different attire.
DECORATIONS
Display Old Fools’ Proverbs around the party area.
• “A fool and his money are soon parted”
• “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread”
• “Fools’ names and fools’ faces appear in public places”
• “By outward show let’s not be cheated, a fool should like a fool be treated”
• “None but a fool is always right”
• “Laugh and the world laughs with you”
• “I had rather have a fool to make me merry than experience to make me sad”
Use misc. holiday decorations as your center piece. Place a Christmas wreath at the door. Answer your door and say “Trick or Treat”. Have an Easter Egg Hunt.
• Serve your meal backwards. Eat dessert first, then your entrée, your salad and last your soup.
PRANKS
• Give everyone a handshake with an artificial arm. Let the arm fall out of the sleeve during the handshake.
• Greet guests in your pajamas with the lights off and let them wonder if they’ve arrived on the wrong day.
• During your party, continuously change the time on the clock.
• Glue paper plates and utensils to your table cloth.
• After seating your guests, place a sign that
says “Beware, wet paint, do not sit”.
• Tape and play eerie sounds coming from weird places.
• Sing “Happy Birthday” to one of your guests, with a birthday cake and all. Your guests will be joining in on the singing while you let them know it’s April Fools’.
