BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY
As summer vacation or winter break draws to a close, a great way to get kids ready for school again is to have a “Back to School Party”. Invite classmates from your class or from previous years and let them play school. Show your kids that school can be fun by having them do fun activities. They can role play being the classroom, art or music teacher or for outdoor activities assign someone to be the coach with whistle in hand.
When greeting your guests, you, as the host can also dress the part by being the principal. Wear a name tag with your name and have name tags for the children. Have assigned "desks" at the table with each childs' name.
Use a chalk board to write down the activities children will be participating in with the time dedicated to each one. Don't forget snack time and "pretend" nap time.
Use memories of your own school days to think up great party fun.
