Colorful Clown Party

Walk the tightrope with this fun and colorful clown party for guests of all ages. This kind of jestering will amuse and charm you and your party guests.

The art of clowning goes back thousands of years. Bring this fun and festive mood into your next clown celebration with a mixture of circus games, events and snacks all under the "Big Top" of course.

Get your guests into the party spirit by sending colorful invitations.

• Balloon Invitations: Blow up a pair of colorful balloons for each guest and write the party information on the outside with a permanent marker. Deflate the balloons and place them in a bright envelope with circus confetti. Seal with clown stickers. • Clown Invitations: Cut clown faces from brightly colored construction paper. Place a red nose on center of clown face and write party information on nose. Place in colorful envelope and decorate with clown or circus stickers.

Clown or Circus decorations are best when they are colorful. Bundle blue, red, and yellow colored ballons, streamers, and tableware and turn an ordinary room into an extraordinary party room.

• Place large clown posters on party room walls. • Use clown or circus books on your coffee table. • Purchase large banners and colored flags. • Sprinkle clown or circus confetti on your party table. • Fill a basket with juggling items and use as a centerpiece. • Purchase clown music at your local record shop to create a festive atmosphere. • Cut pleated clowns and use as table decoration.

ACTIVITIES

• Face painting: Use small stencils to draw a variety of different designs on face. Paint with face paints. Take pictures to save as souvenirs. • Juggling Contest: Supply guests with a variety of juggling items such as fruits, tennis balls, ping pong balls. Have a juggling contest to see which guest can juggle the most items. • Create balloon animals for young children. • Hire a professional juggler, clown, or magician. • Tattoo the Circus Lady: On a large board, draw a “Circus Lady”. Draw hair, an attractive face, a cute polka-dot bikini. Hang poster board on a wall in the party room. Throughout the party each guest design a tattoo. The best tattoo is the winner. • Pin the red nose on the clown. • Milk Bottle Toss Game: Stack a few milk (empty water or soda liter) bottles together and knock them over.
