Deep Blue Sea Party
Dive into our "Deep Blue Sea" party for an unforgettable experience. This party theme is so versatile and can be made with very little party funds. Using the ocean, sky and sea for inspiration, our Deep Blue Sea party can be planned indoors, outdoors, near a pool or right on the beach for maximum fun.
Blue being a primary favorite color, is known for it's soothing effects. You can use all types of decorations and props in different colored blue hues. Navy, sky blue, royal blue, indigo, light blue, aqua, just to name a few. Add a little sand, sea shells and water and your ready to go.
Read on and get ready to have a swimming good time.
INVITATIONS
Cut blue construction paper into a giant wave. Write Take the Plunge and Come on Over to our Deep Blue Sea Party! Write party information on waves. Add shell or starfish stickers.
Make a scallop shell from colored paper. Write the party information on a separate colored paper and attached to the back of your scallop shell.
DECORATIONS
Stretch out blue streamers horizontally on the party room wall. Tape or pin a variety of ships on top of the waves.
Set up beach chairs or umbrellas.
Drape beach towels around.
Blow up a few beach balls.
CRAFTS
Buy plain plastic glasses. Decorate with an assortment of sequins, spangles, button, ribbon, tiny shells, and craft foam shapes.
Sand art. Use sand art in small bottles for guests to take home as a party favor. To save on cost, recycle unused bottles or ask friends to save small bottles for you. Baby food bottles are ideal for this craft. You can also decorate the lid with small shells, ocean themed fabric or ribbon.
