Ole', Ole', it's Fiesta Time. Get ready for a Hot! Hot! Hot! party themed celebration with wonderful decorations and delicious foods.
Viva Mexico! Enjoy the hot colors, rich flavors, and Spanish, Latino, and native cultures of our most exotic American neighbor.
INVITATIONS
• Cut a paper sombrero from construction paper and include party information on front in bright colored markers.
• Cut a rectangle shape from white construction paper. Decorate in green and red making Mexico's flag. Write party information where Mexico's seal would be.
• Cut a paper taco shape and fill it with the party information. Use other colored paper to write party information. Green paper for lettuce can include the location of your party. Orange paper for cheese can include the time. Red paper for tomato can include your phone number for guest to RSVP.
• Use Mexican or Fiesta themed party items or use solid colors such as green, red and white colored.

Before going to your party supply store make sure to have a
decoration supply
list to keep yourself organized and within budget.
• Sombreros, confetti, streamers, and colorful flowers in straw baskets. Hang sombreros on walls or doors. Make hot-colored flowers from large sheets of crepe paper or tissue paper, and tape them everywhere.
• Fly colorful fiesta flags. Hang festive Mexican hats. Decorate with lots of fresh or silk flowers. Don't forget balloons, they are great for the fiesta celebration. Drape bright-colored or striped blankets over furniture.
• Pinatas can be used as a centerpiece or hung from the ceiling. String red, green and white streamers, garlands, and fiesta pennants. Line up pots of red geraniums on window sills.
• Decorate the serving tables with red or green tablecloths, castanets, small guitars, maracas, or bongo drums. Arrange giant, colorful tissue flowers in a basket or vase.
• For outdoor decorations, use plastic iguanas or lizards. Hang a few hammocks and borrow a few palm trees.
• Display bullfight posters that can be obtained at your local travel agency.

Adorn the serving tables with red or green tablecloths. Burn new or old candles placed in Tequila bottles.
Great your guests by serving a large bowl of tortilla chips, your favorite salsa and guacamole. Mix up a batch of
margaritas
or
tropical refresher.
Cactus Fruit: Carve a hole in the side of a small watermelon. Scoop out the fruit and cut it into chunks. Set the melon shell upright on a big terra-cotta flowerpot. Fill it with watermelon chunks and other pieces of fruit. Stick toothpicks into the melon to simulate cactus spikes.
Serve your meal buffet style.
Start with a rich and delicious

and finish with a
layered chicken enchilada casserole.
You may also have a "Make your own Taco" night. Include meat filling, refried beans, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, sour cream, grated cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, chopped black olives, and taco sauce.

or play Mexican bingo game which can be purchased at your local toy store.
End the evening with a pinata. Fill pinata with party favors or candies your guests will enjoy.
