Mother's Day Party

MOMS….What's not to love. They've taken care of us all their lives. Remind us when we forget, bring us back to perfect health when we're sick, cook our favorite meals. Tell us of all the wonderful silly things we did when we were children. Sure they nag, but we love it because it means they care. I love to talk to my mom. She's my best friend, always there for me at any time. So on this day, and every day, I tell her how special she is and how much I love her. You should too. It's never too late to start. Tell her you love her. Cancel everything and spend a day with her, celebrating her.

On this Mother’s Day, children young and old have the opportunity to show their mothers how special they are. They show their appreciation with breakfast in bed, flowers, cards, time and lots of kisses.



INVITATIONS
• Send mom a small flower bouquet inviting with party or event instructions on the card. • Hand delivery a special card in a funny costume. • Make a heart from construction paper and mail it to her just like in school. • Find an old picture of your self or a young picture of her and write party information on the back of the photograph. • Leave her a singing invitation on her answering machine or voice mail of what you would like to do with her for Mother's Day. • Write her a poem with all the activities you have planned for her.
DECORATIONS
• Decorate your home or hers with a variety of flowers and balloons. • Have a photograph of your early childhood made into a poster and place in the party area. • Print a variety of things your mom always says and place them on the walls.
ACTIVITIES
• Dress up like a butler and wait on her hand and foot. • Call her Queen or Your Royal Highness for the day. • Serve Mom breakfast in bed. • Place a fancy napkin, newspaper, flower, card, breakfast, juice and coffee on a tray and give Mom the ultimate treat. (Don’t forget to clean up after breakfast. • Watch home movies. • Play her favorite card game. • Go to the movies, a musical or a play. • Play this is your life, reminding her of different special events and accomplishments from her life.
