THREE LEGGED RACE
This great party outdoor game brings lots of laughs and kids love pairing up with a parent.
Have each guest choose a partner and tie the inside their inside legs together with a scarf. Divide partners into teams. Have them race to the finish line. The first to cross the finish line is the winner.
EGG RACE
Divide the guests into two teams. Give the first player in each team a large spoon with an egg on it. The guest race-walks to the finish line and back and gives the spoon and egg to the next player in line. The first team to finish wins.
TUG OF WAR
This is a classic party outdoor game that never gets boring or out of style.
Use a length of clothesline and divide the guest into two teams. Mark the center on the grass with chalk. The first team to pull the other over the center line wins.

WALK THE PLANK (Great for a pirate themed party)
Place a plank on the floor with a wide pan of water at one end. Choose several "victims" beforehand to jump over the pan of water. While the guest is blindfolded, remove the water. Their efforts to jump will bring laughter and fun.
BALLON STOMP
Materials: Ballons, stings.
Blow up two ballons per person. Have each person tie one ballon to each ankle leaving some string between their ankle and the ballon.
The object of the game is to stomp the other players ballons while keeping yours intact.
The last person to remain with their ballons un-popped is the winner.
TIGHTROPE WALKING (Great for Carnival, Circus or Olympics Party)
Draw a line with chalk on a sidewalk or driveway.
"Performer" must walk the tightrope forward and then backwards.
The performer or performers who complete the task, win.
HOT POTATO (PASS THE CLOWN, PASS THE TORCH, ETC)
This classic and entertaining game can be adapted to any party theme.
Playing in the same manner as you would play hot potato, purchase a small toy, or any party theme related item. Pass the item around until the music stops. Whoever is holding the item is eliminated.
For a baby shower, choose a baby bottle or pacifier.
For a circus, pass a clown around.
For an olympic party, pass the torch.
For adults, think adult items, and get ready for lots of laughs.
MUSICAL CHAIRS
This classic games can also be adapted to any party theme.
Playing in the same manner as you would play musical chairs, line up several chairs, leaving one less than you have number of guests. Have the guests go around the chairs until the music stops. The person left standing has to leave the game. Take a chair away and play music again. Continue until there is one player left. The player sitting in chair is the winner.
For a beach party, play musical towels.
For a baseball party, use bases.
For a slumber party, use sleeping bags.
For an office party, use the bosses chair as the last chair.
PASS THE ORANGE
Materials: Oranges and chairs.
Players are seated in two rows facing one another. The object of the game is to be the first team to finish.
An orange is started at one end and it carefully travels the length of the row by being passed along on the tops of player's feet. A dropped orange must go back two people.
Legs must be kept quite stiff and tilted slightly to drop the orange gently onto the next pair of feet.
*Hint: Do not rush.
CHIN-TO-CHIN
Materials: Tennis ball, orange or grapefruit.
Have guests line up in two lines of alternating men and women. Hand behind their back.
On a signal, the tennis ball, orange, or grapefruit is given to the first player in both lines. They tuck it under their chin and pass it on through the line, chin to chin. If the ball falls, it must be reintroduced one person back from where it fell.
The first team to finish passing the ball through the whole line is the winner.
CANDY TOSS
Materials: Muffin Pans. Assorted candies.
Have guests toss a specified number of candies into muffin tins from a designated distance. Use candies appropriate to the party theme or season.
Easter...jelly beans
Halloween...candy corn
Christmas...silver chocolate kisses
Valentine's Day...candy hearts
Whoever gets the most candies into the cups in the muffin tins wins.
BALLON RACE
Materials: Ballons
At the start line, guests put blown-up ballons between their knees. They must jump to a designated finish line. If the ballon drops or breaks, they must return to start and begin again.
Be sure to have two or three ballons blown up for each guest.
*For a pool or beach party, fill the ballons with water.
