PRESIDENTS’ DAY PARTY
Presidents’ Day began as a day to honor George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. These two great presidents were the inspiration for this holiday, but it is also a time to honor all presidents of the United States of America.
• Before beginning your party, say the "Pledge of Allegiance"
INVITATIONS
• On construction paper, create an American Flag. Inscribe the party information on each white and red line.
• Purchase small American Flags at your local party store and write party information on it with a felt pen.
ACTIVITIES
•Have guests come dressed a different president.
• Sing Patriotic songs, such as: “GOD Bless America” “Star Spangled Banner” “Yankee Doodle Dandy”
• Play Presidents’ Trivia .
GAMES
PRESIDENT'S MONEY GAME
Have guests guess which president is on which coin of money bill.
MENU
Serve traditional American style food.
Some American favorites are hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, macaroni and cheese, and watermelon.
For dessert serve a variety of pie in savory flavors. Cherry, Apple, Pecan, Blueberry, or Pumpkin are always favorites.
