SLUMBER PARTY

These parties suited for boys, girls, family reunions, male bonding or a group of girlfriends.

What better way to have fun than to hang out in your PJ’s, each munchies all and tell goofy and silly stories. Don’t lose sleep over what activities to do to keep guests entertained, these sleepovers usually are an entertainment in itself.

If you plan to have a lot of people sleep over, improvise. Use mattresses and sleeping bags on the floor and create instant dormitories.



INVITATIONS:
• Make miniature sleeping bags. Tuck party information into bags.

• Write party information with fabric pens on pillow cases. Write each guests name on pillow case. Mail the pillow cases in a large envelope. Instruct each guest to bring their pillow case and pillow to the party.

ACTIVITIES:
NAIL PAINTING

A traditional activity for a slumber party is a manicure and pedicure. Add some extra fun by having designs added to their manicure/pedicure.

• Plaid: Apply a base coat of polish. Once dry, add different colored lines.

• Night of Stars: Top a dark undercoat with a glittery gold.

• Checkers: Start with a coat of red. Add staggered rows of black squares.

• Colored Rainbow: Paint a miniature rainbow at the tip of the nail.

• Animal Stripes: Apply an orange or gold undercoat. Add irregular black stripes.

• Flower Garden: Top a base coat of green with daisies or tulips.

• Polka Dots: Apply a base coat of polish. Dab on drops of another color. Choose colors that match your party theme/party-ware.

• Cow: Paint the nail white, then top with big black patches.

• Lightning Bolt: Top a blue base coat with a bright yellow zigzag.

• Apple of my Eye: Paint on a tiny apple complete with a stem and leaves.

INDOOR GAMES
• Hire a stylist to style everyone’s hair.

• Hire a masseuse and treat everyone to a massage.

• Play a game of truth or dare.

• Set up a scrapbook table. Supply guests with miniature scrapbooks, stickers, etc. Have guest bring pictures to place in book.

• Put in a dance video and learn how to do a new dance or the Macarena together.

• Play board games. Monopoly, Mall Madness, Pay Day, or Twister.

• Pillow fight. Use big, fat, soft pillows. Set the time for two minutes, and go at it.

• Watch romantic movies.

Don't forget to serve your guest a warm hot breakfast before leaving. Some winners are: Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, cinnammon rolls, warm biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, western omelet, or delicious baked french toast.
